I'm only taking one class there in person and I am taking one online. I hate online classes! I think this will be my last one. When I started school over 3 years ago I went primarily online because the boys were a lot younger. But now I really dislike them. It's just a lot to force myself to spend the time at home to work on the class. I would much rather go to class for 2 hours 2-3 times a week than try to teach myself!
Plus, the online class I'm taking right now interests me about -100% (if you can get a negative percentage of interest!). It's Govt. Policy making, I hate that talk! And it makes me mad I am taking it! Oh well...it's a transferable class, so that's a good thing. My other class that I take at school is a Creative Writing, Non Fiction class...and I love it!!!
This weekend was fun! On Saturday we went to my Dad and Michelle's and had a really good dinner and played Trivial Pursuit! And I did laundry (I really need to get an electric dryer, like yesterday!)
On Sunday we went out to breakfast at a great little country restaurant in a tiny nearby town! It was excellent and we will definitely be going back there. After breakfast we were going to go thrift store shopping (I really like searching those stores for treasure...and I've found some great things here!) Matt said he knew where one was up the highway a bit...It was raining here but snowing up the hill further....so needless to say...we ended up nearly in Tahoe!
Matt's claim to know where a thrift store up the highway seemed to be a scam to go to the snow! However, no one was dressed for the snow and like I said in a previous post....I freak out driving in the snow!
I was a mess driving up there. There was chain control right passed our town, but we got through it because we have four wheel drive. I was a stress case, but once we got up there I calmed down! We found a great lodge/restaurant and stopped there to get some hot chocolate and apple cider. We walked in there and I fell in love!!! It's a lodge that was built in the 1850's, they had a fire going with lots of couches in the front room and a wall full of games. The boys and I played Candyland and drank our drinks while Matt played the piano. I could have stayed all day! They have the cutest restaurant, it wasn't open though. We are definitely going back another day!
I drove back down so I could get some experience. I got stuck getting out of the parking lot and had to use the four wheel drive. Once I got a feel for how it feels to be stuck and then to pop right out with the 4x4, it was great!!! I have so much more confidence in myself and my car! (Thanks Dad for making a great choice of cars for me!!!)
We made it home and had grilled cheese and soup, then we made a run to In-N-Out for shakes...it was a great way to end a really great weekend!
Today I took Ry out in the stroller on a trail for a while. It was great! But you know it's been too long since you got out and jogged when you get blisters on your hands from the jogging stroller!
They hurt!
Stroller blisters--hehe.
ReplyDeleteGood, keep sucking in all of these Nor Cal experiences, that way you'll have your "regulars" to take me and Clint to when we visit this summer. ;-)
I'm working on it... Today In class everyone was talking about their favorite places...I was taking notes!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun place! Sienna and I want to go... Maybe the next weekend she's with me we can make a trip and all go together!! Hopefully there's snow that weekend!!
ReplyDeleteGood, take lots of notes--there will be a quiz later. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like good times :-)
